I ache as I remember the times we used to share
I clutch it tightly, the hat you used to wear
How the days have grown cold since you've gone away
Though I still think of you each and every day
I do wonder to myself will this pain ever fade?
Will a tear come with the thoughts of each memory that we made?
It has been so lonely, I don't know how to feel
It's just hard to accept when it still does not seem real
I was so happy, you made me feel so alive
Why did I have to be the one who was left here to survive?
I hope you're happy in heaven, though you will always be missed
For you were truly my only real reason to exist
Tonight when I see the moon, know I'm thinking of you
And when I fall asleep, you'll be in my dreams then, too
You are always on my mind, every second of every day
And you always have been since the day you went away
