on undying grounds
I sow the seeds of my grief as your iris wanders,
Meeting the sight of my blanched skin.
Beneath my masked smiles, beyond an undetectable point,
I clandestinely shrink into the bylines of the news.

Another unforeseen calamity
Of the incessant kaleidoscope of life.
How it manages to uproot bonds -
Fixed on the basis of these undying grounds.

My soul is compelled to linger on memories
So I shall relish every reverie,
For it seems like the coming of a weary winter;
The absence of your aura deprives the comforting warmth.

I place a piece of myself in this grave,
And bury the undying grounds forevermore.
Cognizant that our friendship will be incandescent within,
I plant a seed of faith in the goldfield.

Faith which seeks a happenstance of fate -
In which our souls meet again,
And delve deep into the goldfield,
Building a foundation for the broken bonds.
