When we look beyond
Past what our eyes see.
There seems to be a longing
A longing to believe.
Believe in what you wish.
Believe in what you know.
Believe in all the little things
So your love can start to grow.
Love is known as the greatest gift.
To have upon this earth.
To share this gift with others
Brings much more to its worth.
To love a friend when they're in need,
Or a co-worker when they're down.
That shows the type of person you are
They'll always want you around.
The person giving out the love
To everyone they see.
Is the one who loves to give,
And passes it out for free.
It's called
Unconditional love,
The only love we need.
Is what so many lack today.
A simple type of greed.
Well, I am not the greedy type.
And neither are my kids.
I've raised them to be loving,
Something the devil forbids.
The devil's had a hand in our lives
And with that, it's been hard to deal.
But he can't take
Unconditional love,
For that is hard to steal.
No matter what he takes from us,
Or what he tries to do,
You can easily scare him off,
By offering him love too.
You see, the Devil isn't scared
Of anything you do.
But when you open your heart and love.
He knows that's when he's doomed.
