It was a summer night during penademic time. There was a power cut since morning in our society. Complaint was registered but as usual employees came late in the evening to sort out the issue . All the neighbourers came outside to save inverters for night in case if repair work took long time .All were discussing how beautiful and clear the sky became during the time of lockdown . Suddenly someone shouted, " Look up there ,a star is falling..Come on fast.. let's make a wish '
Everyone looked at the direction. Some of us who saw the star,smiled and made their wishes . My son looked at me.
"Why everyone is praying?"
"They are not praying sweetheart,They are making their wishes."
"Why they are so happy? he asked again.
"They are happy to see fallen star . It rarely can be seen . "
He asked " Mumma,You told me that Good people never feel happy ,If someone falls...
Are they not good people?"
I didn't have any reply to his question.. I just smiled and hugged him.
"Stars are not living things like us, they don't feel pain.. so no need to be sad if you see any fallen star ⭐ "
"Mumma ,Do they shine after falling also ?
"Papa can answer that question better... " I fantasies the things but I want him to know the answer based on practical and scientific knowledge
"Ok I will ask him.When will he come? " He asked again.
"Let's see who will come first...Papa or electricity" I smiled
"Yes.. Yess .. Let's see ..I know Papa will win.." He excitedly said
I diverted his mind attention from stars to present situation.. But I knew he needs proper explanation of his queries.His queries added lots of questions in my curious mind too.
"Where do stars go when they fall from the sky?"
