Where The **** Is My Wife (Part 2 of 6)
Detective Alec Green's Mystery Stories*

A couple hours later.....

''Felix, Felix. It's time to wake up.'' A male voice said.

Felix struggled to open his eyes because of the light and all he could feel was pain. When he opened his eyes completely, he saw Alec was standing over him. Felix then looked around and to the other side of the room to see that he was in the hospital. Also that Anjali and his mother-in-law were standing on the other side of the bed.

''Felix, how you doing buddy?'' Alec asked and Felix turned to watch him with a frightened look on his face.

''Where is Adira? Please tell me where she is.'' Felix asked desperately.

''I am sorry Felix, don't know. When we heard the news from the officers we rushed to the store immediately. To find you badly wounded and unconscious on the floor. I sent the police out to search for your wife as we were busy taking you to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, we didn't hear from them yet.'' Alec explained but this only made Felix upset.

''You should have just left me and looked for my wife instead. Those bloody police officers aren't going to find my wife. If they did, she would be here by now. I'll find her myself.'' Felix argued, while freeing himself from the hospital bed. Before he could come off the bed, the pain stopped him.

''Felix please, listen to yourself. You used to trust the police. Just wait a while and see if the kidnapper drops any clues.'' Anjali said.

As she tried to convince him to stay, Felix won't budge. Felix then grabbed his clothes and quickly put it on, removing the hospital gown. He then turned to face Anjali.

''Anjali, I only trust the police because they arrested each criminal we caught but we do most of the work. If the kidnapper left any clues let me know but I am not going to stay here in a hospital. Especially to get treated until my wounds are nicely healed. While my wife is out there fighting for her life while pregnant with our child! How does that sound to you?'' Felix argued and everyone remained silent.

He continued. ''Unfair right? Well that is how I'm feeling just by laying down on that bed and doing nothing. While my wife could be treated terribly. I made a promise to my wife that I am going to take care of her and just sitting there doing nothing is not good enough. I'm going to look for her and no one stop me.''

Felix then walked up to his mother-in-law who was crying her eyes out. He held her cheeks and made her look at him.

''Your daughter will be fine. I will find her, I promise.'' Felix said calmly and Adira's mother hugged him.

''Please do whatever you do. Bring her home safely.'' Adira's mother begged.

''I will. Just take care of Astra.'' Felix replied and she nodded.

Quickly Felix went running out of the hospital to search for Adira. It took hours as Felix looked everywhere that he could possibly think of. Unfortunately, he could not find her. So Felix went back to the store to gather all the evidence he could find.

As soon as Felix arrived back home, Anjali and Alec were already there setting up the tracking equipment. Adira's mother was watching the news as it viewed an emergency report of her missing daughter.

Alec looked up to see Felix standing by the doorway and still looking upset. He then grabbed a piece of paper off the table and walked up to Felix. While Anjali was connecting the phones to the tracking device.

''Felix you're back. Check this out.'' Alec said while showing Felix the paper from a distance.

''What's that?'' Felix asked.

''It's a ransom note. Someone tossed it through the window two hours ago. That's why we brought the tracking equipment here. I think we are going to need it.'' Alec explained and gave the paper to Felix for him to read what is written on it.

''The kidnapping is related to the incident last year. The explosion at the fashion show. It turns out that there was another person working with him. Unfortunately, this person thinks that you and Adira killed the culprit on purpose. Stating that he watched the hold thing but I doubt it.

This is because we have seen the whole thing and know that the culprit was not killed by Adira. That piece of concrete was too small to even kill him. The culprit would have still lived if it wasn't for the door being swinged open. That lead the culprit to fall head first, on a shape piece of concrete killing him there on the spot.'' Alec continued to explain.

''Yes but the kidnapper does not know that. He shouldn't have taken my wife either. It's stated here a life for a life or pay up a ransom of fifty thousand dollars. A price for the death of his partner.'' Felix said while pointing at the letter.

''Yeah, we might need the tracker incase the kidnapper calls.'' Felix added.

Suddenly Felix's phone rang and everyone turned around to watch him. Immediately, Adira's mother took Astra inside her bedroom. Felix quickly pulled out his phone and checked to see who's number it was. He then turned the phone for them to see.

''It's a call from a private number.'' Felix quickly said.

''Wait.....don't answer yet. I'll tell you when to. Just give me a few seconds.'' Anjali said and Felix nodded.

Anjali then quickly connected the call to the tracker and Alec grabbed his whiteboard with his map and markers.

''Okay go ahead,'' Anjali whispered and gave him a thumbs up. Felix then picked up the call.

''Where is my wife? Tell me where she is now!'' Felix demanded and the caller just laughed on the phone.

Anjali had her earplugs on and hearing this she frowned while looking at the men. Same time, Adira's mother calmly and quietly walked back into the living room to listen.

''Oh Felix, Felix, Felix. Felix Aziz! You haven't changed a bit, haven't you. From a simple pickpocketer to a hero called a detective. From a man running after the queen and getting your heart broken. You got married to your lovely wife. The same woman I have here is screaming by my side. Oh, she is one gorgeous woman! Besides the scar I am indeed feeling to keep her.'' The caller said. This made Felix furious.

''You. Don't you dare touch my wife. Stay away from my wife this instant. Or else.....'' Felix threatened the caller but the caller stopped him.

''Or else what? Huh. You would find me and kill me? Unfortunately you can't find me to do that but I would love to see you try. I am tempted to sacrifice my safety for it.

Oh shot, I almost forgot why I called you. Oh yes, I wanted to tell you to forget about the money so I can have your wife. Sadly I have a heart and since you want her back. While she is carrying your child inside of her. I realize I don't want that headache. So give me the money or I'll kill you wife!'' The caller threatened him.

Felix could hear the caller loading his gun and Adira crying. This frightened Felix and it was visible to everyone in the room.

''Okay, okay. I will give you the money but give me back my wife and child. They must be alive and in one piece when I get them. Where shall we meet?'' Felix asked out of desperation.

''Oh haha, now we're talking. I'm at the Golf-Ball Square. My office is at 12 o'clock. As soon as you get there I am on the third floor. Be there on time at 2p.m. sharp.'' The caller instructed and then he continued.

''Oh and it should be you alone. Not your little detective friends and not even the police. If you try anything smart. I wouldn't hesitate to kill your precious wife.''

After hearing what he said, Felix looked up at the clock and saw it was already 11a.m.

''Okay, I'll be there on time.'' Felix said and then hung up the call.

''Felix, I know what the caller said but you can't go there allow.'' Anjali said feeling concerned and Felix ignored her.

He quickly ran into the kitchen and grabbed some glass bottles and packed them in a crocus sack.

''Felix what are you doing?'' Alec asked, looking confused.

''Preparations.'' Felix replied.

When he was finished, Felix closed the sack and banged it against the wall. Breaking the bottles inside the sack and then dropping the closed sack on the ground. Felix then went to his room and grabbed the first aid kit. He rushed back to the kitchen. Wrapped his hands with thick bandages and placed a few pieces of glass on each of his fist and wrapped it. When he was finished, Felix grabbed the crocus sack full of broken glass and was about to walk through the front door. When Alec stopped him.

''Felix, give me that sack. You would kill someone.'' Alec said and was about to grab the sack when Felix stopped him.

''If I have to kill someone to get my wife back, so be it. I will do anything to get my wife back safely. Even if I have to live my life as a criminal again.'' Felix said before he left the room and closed the door behind him.
