When I say
"help me",
it isn't because
I have nothing else to say,
but because I need help
and cannot help myself.

I must have tried,
oh yes, I have tried,
and tried, and tried
again and again
to help myself,
but to no avail.

My strength is gone
feeble have my knees turned.
Maybe it isn't given to me
to help myself,
and so I cry today
with all that's within me
I need your help;
please help me now!
