Scars and wounds can have intricate display
as they can be visibly seen.
But, scars and wounds may be a different array
buried deep in the soul.

You may never know
how much a soul
has been damaged
until you try to love them.

When pain gets triggered, and
they pull away,
the mental walls get thicker
affording no entry.

Embracing love with an open mind
and an open heart, gives a way
to help them heal scars and wounds
from the inside out.

When we do, we will find
the treasures that have been buried
deep within the soul
and reveal the beauty held within.
