I believe in the brotherhood
I know my brother

May God forbid that I sever
the sacred bond
that causes our hearts to entwine
and makes our spirits align
with love and understanding,
with shared laughter and tears.

Our bond may be not by blood,
but a kinship deeper than seas,
beyond the constraints of lineage
and all that is hinged on shared names.

The brotherhood transcends the earthly realm,
to the realms where our souls
can sing and dance forever.

I shall comfort my brother
through thick and thin
with my soothing presence
I shall pacify him with warm embraces
and shelter him potently
from the many boisterious storms
that plague life's high sea.

I believe in the brotherhood
I know my brother
