Take some step back lets go to my early teens,
It was hard to make sense of my dreams,
Since nobody believed in me and I had to look further to discover what purpose really means,
Falling into a bad crowd and a debt
I had to recollect to this day, I am trying to redeem.

Hunting for validation inside of a home,
There was none, so I looked outside until I was left all alone,
Realised I was chasing validation from me, all along after I was skinned to the bone,
Whether I'm happy or not didn't matter as long as I watched my tone.

After years to come in my adult life,
Stupid how I took for granted what it meant to be alive,
And all emotions, I've had to shut them into archive, and that is where depression began to thrive,
Being cold and alone with every connection I've sliced off with my void being the knife.

It's a hard world being a nobody.
Took a while to come to the realization,
That my worth is depicted on what I've materialised,
Since I'm the only one who is cheering for me.
Despite having family.

Only when money pours shall I be named brilliant,
And maybe then I'll become the perfect proud daughter.
Rather than be ignored and shov.e away my own little sister,
Is that how I can define myself as resiliant?

And as Moana seek to find her purpose.
Despite being raised courteous.
I'm not going to lay down like Snow White
And expect everything to be alright
Let my challenges make me virile
For I have come far enough to be tagged dependent.

Should my journey be one of lonely
Knowing no one is holy.
Should my success last a brief memory
Knowing I summoned bravery.
From the dreams of my young days.
Hope was born and essence was unveiled
Now I stand in the midst of when will it be?
And how will it end? Enough political diplomacy!
I have a battle to win!
